After Springbok dietician Zeenat Simjee and fly-half Elton Jantjies were sent home from Argentina, controversy rocked the world champion South Africa.
According to reports in the Rainbow Nation, Simjee, who is not thought to be married, and the married Jantjies—who also have three children—have been having an affair.
Reports about Springbok fly-half Elton Jantjies and team dietician Zeenat Simjee between the training camp in Sabie and the Test match against New Zealand in Mbombela earlier this year were brought to the attention of the South African management, according to a statement.
“The individuals are going back to South Africa to take care of these personal reports and to make sure that there are no disruptions to the team’s preparations for the Test against Argentina,” the statement reads. “No team protocols were broken.”
