Another awful piece of news: the head coach and star player of Swansea City confirmed the news with tears in their eyes, leaving the team devastated once again.

Swansea City’s head coach, Luke Williams, was content with a point on the road but acknowledged his team lost a chance to win all three after failing to capitalize on a strong first half in their draw with Watford.

The Swans dominated the first forty-five minutes of play at Vicarage Road, and Ryan Andrews’ own goal gave them a well-earned lead at halftime.

However, the lead could have been greater since Ronald and Ben Cabango had excellent opportunities that Daniel Bachmann’s Watford goal turned away.

And Wesley Hoedt’s header reached the net after the game, and Ryan Porteous was there to confirm at the back post, allowing the improved hosts to respond.

The Swans manager expressed his anger, saying, “We felt we were quite dominant in the first half, and we could have increased our lead.”

Because we didn’t completely finish that, the second half is a different game. We suffered for that, as the opponent was able to regroup at halftime and became considerably more aggressive in the second half.

We need to acknowledge that we did a good job of controlling the first half of the game and realize that doing so requires us to create and seize obvious opportunities.

We lost that ball possession in the second half, which resulted in more counterattacks and less comfortable play. You need to use that control to halt large counterattacks.

“I’m frustrated, but I’m also happy.”

Williams did, however, commend his team for being willing to play a strong defense in the last moments in order to extend their winning streak to three games.

“Fans must meet that minimal requirement in order to appreciate players,” he continued.

We are working toward this goal, which is for them to have 80% of the ball and create all the opportunities while the opposition has none, but there is no room for players who are unwilling to risk their lives.

“I believe that the supporters are aware of it and, hopefully, proud of it. The entire team raced and gave their lives, but the two center halves in particular are amazing and, at times, like a two-man army. I am really proud of them.
