Total Fallback: A major injury suffered by another important Foxes player will prevent him from playing against QPR.
Before today’s Championship match against Queens Park Rangers, Jamie Vardy, the striker for Leicester City, has recovered from an injury and is available for selection, according to head coach Enzo Maresca.
After two straight losses, the Foxes visit QPR at King Power Stadium with the intention of winning the championship crown again.
After victories over Bristol City and Rotherham United, Marti Cifuentes’ team has won four of their last seven league games, moving them out of the relegation zone on goal differential.
City enters the match fresh off an FA Cup victory against Bournemouth on Tuesday night. For the journey down south, Maresca made nine changes to his starting lineup, resting Patson Daka, Harry Winks, Wout Faes, Stephy Mavididi, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
In his pre-match press conference, Maresca also gave the most recent team news prior to the game. “Everyone is OK. Ndidi Wilf is still not back. That’s all,” the Leicester manager declared.
He has already begun working with us on a portion of the session. Hopefully, he can wrap up his sessions with us next week. He is a crucial member of our team.”
But Vardy will be available for this weekend’s matchup against QPR. Maresca declared that the striker was “back” from the groin problem that kept him out of Leeds United’s match last week. But Kasey McAteer is still not available.
Due to suspension, Jannik Vestergaard will not play on Saturday and will not go to Sunderland on Tuesday night. Jannik has performed a terrific job since we started. Our offensive phases all begin with Jannik, or Mads. He is a crucial participant. Conor and Wout have been utilized by us. We’ll see,” stated Maresca.
He understands the timing and the spare man. He is aware of when to draw the opponent and wait. It’s the three and two who are playing well when we play well.
“We consider a variety of factors while choosing our defensive lineup.” Are there any speedy players on the other team? It all comes down to balance.
