Sad news: Matt LaFleur suffered a heart attack after discovering that his favorite player had declared his retirement.

Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NFL legend Steve Young discussed Aaron Rodgers and the likelihood that the top quarterback for the Green Bay Packers will retire before the 2023 season begins.

When Young discussed what Rodgers is actually thinking about when he decides to put the pads back on for another season, he became a little serious during his appearance on the most recent episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast.

“I think what he’s thinking about is a death,” Young clarified. “And who decides to die? .. Because the moment you quit a game where you’re the greatest at anything in the world, you realize that you’re not that good anymore and discover— surprise!— In all honesty, I’m not very skilled at anything else. You consequently have a strong desire to return to what you were excellent at. Not because you want everyone to think well of you and tell you that you’re excellent at something. And my greatest and best usage is that, as a human, you don’t want to [‘suck,’ Brady added].

According to Young, who was an NFL player from 1985 to 1999, Rodgers is having to make a really tough choice.

The former San Francisco 49ers player stated, “What [Rodgers] is contemplating is a really difficult thing, and people have no idea—having been there and felt that and have to deal with it.” “The next day you’re at the bottom of a cliff in a broken sack of bones, that’s what I always tell people.” After that, you have to get up and start acting differently. It won’t be the same, though.
