Isaah Yeo, the captain of the Penrith Panthers, has re-signed for a three-year contract that will keep him with the team through at least the end of the 2024 NRL season.

After an outstanding 2020 season with the minor premiers, the 26-year-old was rewarded with his New South Wales State of Origin debut.

Yeo, who recently joined star halfback Nathan Cleary as co-captain for the 2021 campaign, claimed he had never considered leaving the team.

“I had no intentions of doing anything other than re-signing with the Panthers,” he stated.

“I enjoy representing this club. I just couldn’t picture myself wearing any other jersey.

“When I first arrived at Penrith, I would have told anyone who asked if I would play first grade that they were crazy.

It’s amazing to think that this arrangement will see me through to the age of thirty. I’m here now. It’s been a long journey, of which I am extremely proud.

“Hopefully, over the next few years, we can bring a premiership to Penrith, and I can play my part in that.”
