Just in: Doug Pederson has learned of the horrific accident that claimed the life of one of his valuable players.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old Jacksonville woman died after being ejected from her small Nissan Juke when it was struck on July 23 by a Ford Explorer that ran a red light in front of the Regency Square mall.
According to the Highway Patrol, Tanya Dennis passed away on Saturday from injuries she suffered in the collision that occurred in the 9200 block of Arlington Expressway shortly after 7 p.m.
Her family has established a GoFundMe page to assist with burial costs, referring to her as a “loving, strong individual who was the backbone of her family.”
When she started to turn left into the mall from the eastbound Arlington Expressway, Dennis allegedly had the green light, according to the Highway Patrol. At that moment, the SUV struck the right front side of the Juke, then the bigger car flipped and rolled, according to investigators at the scene. Robert Isenhour, 40, was driving the westbound Explorer when he “failed to stop at the red traffic signal.”
