Just in: The New York Jets head coach has just received sad, disappointing news while…
Not even four plays into the season, he lost his quarterback. His offensive line was never exactly the same as the former Washington Hogs, and it now features a number of third- and fourth-string players. This is Robert Saleh’s third season coaching the Jets, and things have gotten worse from the start.
He had been dealt a bad hand.
Given that it would have been difficult for anyone to salvage this Jets season, perhaps it would be unfair to put Saleh squarely on the griddle. That being said, you are still free to inquire as to whether he ought to be on the griddle. The Jets have deteriorated so much and grown bitter.
At MetLife Stadium, Black Friday was Bleak Friday—a never-ending parade of abomination for which Robert Saleh cannot take full responsibility. But a good portion of it is undoubtedly his fault. It is reasonable to question whether the 60 minutes of non-competitive football aren’t the result of this entire process at this point. The Dolphins won the game 34–13 in the end. In their history, the Jets have experienced worse blowouts.
However, they have rarely appeared this ill-prepared or out of character. That pertains to the coach.
Saleh declared, “We have to keep digging.” “We must continue to prepare, coach, and look for new ways to make things happen.”
Pay as much attention as you want to that final play of the first half, the Hail Mary that Miami’s Jevon Holland returned untouched for a 99-yard pick-six that puts the team’s history at the pinnacle of humiliation. Considering how thick that scrapbook is, that’s saying something.

However, the game’s pivotal moment occurred during the opening defensive snap of the same half.
Then, almost predictably, the flags appeared.
Quinton Jefferson, you’re being too harsh. fifteen yards. It was first-and-10 instead of second-and-14.
The rampant lack of discipline throughout the Jets roster had once again shown its ugly head. It takes place each week. It occurs during every game. It is a coaching concern.
During the fourth quarter, a jets fan yelled at Robert Saleh, the head coach of the New York Jets, “Toss the Saleh.”

It is also unacceptable. It is not pardonable. Nothing improves in this situation. Never, ever, ever.
“That wasn’t necessary to occur,” stated Saleh. Errors will occur throughout the game. We’ll keep trying to figure out how to make that right.
No matter how badly things go over the next six games, Saleh is most likely not going to be fired.
In fact, someone asked Saleh directly if he thought his job was in danger.
He remarked, “I’m not concerned about that.”
And regardless of the outcome, he will most likely continue with that response even if the Jets fall short and post a second 4-13 record in Saleh’s three years. Once more, it would be reasonable if Johnson takes that course of action because the Jets have made it their mission to maximize Aaron Rodgers’ comfort level ever since he joined the team.
