Another terrible news hit Sunderland ahead of clash with Swansea as the Black Cats have sorrowfully announced…

Elliot Embleton’s injury recovery will take a bit longer to complete because the Under-21s match he was scheduled to play in has been postponed.

After suffering two serious injuries in the previous year, Embleton was scheduled to play 45 minutes in Friday night’s Premier League 2 match against Leicester City.

But now he’ll have to wait a little bit longer because Eppleton’s pitch is wet.

The Sunderland Under-21s Premier League 2 match versus Leicester City has been postponed because of a flooded surface.

The game, which was originally scheduled for Friday, February 9 at 7 p.m., has been rescheduled for a later time.

Sunderland expresses their “deep admiration” for Tony Mowbray as he fights sickness.

Michael Graham
“On Saturday, February 17, Grahame Murty’s team will play their first away game of the league against Reading.”

Though the weather was probably not ideal for a player returning from injury too, it’s still another frustrating blow for Embleton.

During the previous season, the midfielder’s ankle broke while playing Hull. He fought his way back, but not long after going on loan to Derby in September, he developed a thigh issue.

Although he is largely forgotten about at Sunderland, coach Michael Beale thinks he is still a vital member of the team and a guy he is eager to see again.

“We don’t have enough people in the building who have been on Elliot’s journey and witnessed the development of the team and the club over the last two years,” Beale remarked on the player’s time at the club.

“I think that experience is incredibly crucial for young guys coming in the building. Luke has one, and Elliot is definitely another.

“Last night, I had dinner with the three new signings to discuss how they’ve adapted to the club and what sets us apart from the others. However, it’s crucial that the players also acclimate [new] players to the club: our club’s culture, our conduct, and our training methods are all aspects that the supporters find extremely significant.

“We need to have one or two individuals in the building that talk like that as well, in case a fan comes in and speaks with those guys. Players, in my opinion, should be aware of the club’s significance to the community and its passion.
