Another terrible news hit the Seahawks as Mike Macdonald has sorrowfully announced…

A major coaching transition is underway at a division opponent of the Seattle Seahawks.

The San Francisco 49ers are firing defensive coordinator Steve Wilks in the wake of their Sunday 25-22 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, according to reports on Wednesday from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

After leading 10-0 at the break, the 49ers were outscored 22–12 in the second half. Although Kyle Shanhan’s offense is also worthy of criticism for settling for field goals in overtime and late in the fourth quarter, the defense should take some of the blame for allowing Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to have his way throughout the game.

Aden Durde was hired by the Seahawks this week, marking the team’s first defensive coordinator under head coach Mike Macdonald. Meanwhile, the 49ers are currently searching for a replacement.

JAMAL ADAMS TO IR DEC 30 According to reports from the NFL Network, the Seattle Seahawks have placed receiver Dee Eskridge and safety Jamal Adams on injured reserve.

Due to a knee injury, Adams has missed the last two games, which the Seahawks have won. If Seattle wins its remaining two games, it may still qualify for the playoffs, but it will now have to do so without Adams.

Adams recorded 48 total tackles this season in nine games, along with two passes defended.

But there are two other Seahawks who are a little less wealthy.

Seahawks rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and running back DeeJay Dallas are being fined by the NFL, according to the weekly league-wide penalties report available to the public.

While Dallas is also facing a $6,297 fine for unnecessary roughness, Smith-Njigba faces a $11,473 fine for the same offense.

SEAHAWKS INJURY REPORT, NOV. 9 In front of their matchup with the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks have released their injury report for Thursday.

After listing seven players as DNP on Wednesday, Seattle only had four players sitting on Thursday.

Oddly enough, the only person with DNP noted who was also out on Wednesday was Jordyn Brooks. After being either limited or a full participant on Wednesday, DK Metcalf (hip), Anthony Bradford (knee), and Mario Edwards Jr. (rest) were all added as new entries to the DNP section of the injury report.

DEEJAY DALLAS HURT ON NOV. 5 In the third quarter of Sunday’s game at M&T Bank Stadium between the Seattle Seahawks and the Baltimore Ravens, running back DeeJay Dallas was hurt.

The Seahawks declared that Dallas’s return is uncertain due to a shoulder injury. The team trainers took his right arm and led him to the locker room.

Dallas has gained 14 yards on five rushes and 11 yards on four receptions so far this season. In addition, he has returned nine kickoffs for 231 yards and fourteen punts for 178 yards.
