The Packers have suffered a great loss as one of their star players perished in a horrific car accident.
In a single-car accident, linebacker Nick Rogers, who was a member of the Green Bay Packers‘ special teams in 2004, passed away. He was thirty years old.
Rogers’ automobile struck a utility pole in College Park, close to Atlanta, at around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiners office.
The 250-pound linebacker Rogers played for four seasons in the NFL with Green Bay, Indianapolis, Miami, and Minnesota.
During his two seasons with the Vikings in 2002 and 2003, he started sixteen games. He played for the Packers for ten games and the Colts for one the following season. Three games with the Dolphins in 2005 marked his final NFL season.
After being dismissed by the Vikings at the start of the 2004 season, Rogers was mostly used by the Packers on special teams. Three days after releasing Rogers in the middle of the season, the Packers re-signed him.
In 2008, he made his Arena Football League debut with Colorado.
In 2002, the Vikings selected defensive end Rogers in the sixth round after he recorded 16 sacks while playing for Georgia Tech.
