Philippe Clement confirmed the duo have been added to the already lengthy treatment table.

For Sunday’s match against Motherwell, Rangers will be without both John Lundstram and Kemar Roofe, as Philippe Clement acknowledges he doesn’t know when they will be back.

In recent weeks, the Belgian manager has been without a number of important players, including Tom Lawrence, Danilo, Roofe, Nicolas Raskin, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, and Ryan Jack. Their injury problems worsened on

Wednesday when midfielder Lundstram was “kicked off the pitch” by Diallang Jaiyesimi for a reckless challenge against St. Johnstone.

Clement’s team has amassed an outstanding 16-game unbeaten streak in all competitions despite playing with a reduced roster, and they won the Viaplay Cup last weekend against Aberdeen. Rangers are now only two points

behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, with a key game in hand over their city rivals yet to come next month, but Clement understands it’s not ideal to have fewer alternatives to pick a side from. “Lundstram and Roofe are both not

available for Sunday,” he stated in reference to the forthcoming encounter at Fir Park. As we still await the findings of the scans, it is now difficult to estimate how long.

There are not a lot of options; we have to look at what is best for the team. Players are playing out of place and giving everything. Our story is obvious in every position, and they know what to do with and without the ball in different

locations. The players are managing well with a demanding schedule and preparing well for every match. It is vital that we keep the mentality strong; it stays crucial. We need to stay consistent throughout the marathon of a league.

We push every time for three points. It’s a big period—four games and a lot of games to win or lose. Then we have training camp, and I’m looking forward to practicing hard with the squad and sitting down and discussing with the team.”

Reflecting on the loss of Roofe and Lundstram, Clement stated they are looking at methods to prevent the striker from getting hurt so frequently. He added: “It is most disappointing for Kemar (Roofe), as he is doing everything possible to avoid injuries. We are looking hard into the details to find answers for him.

“Injured players are always in our meetings; I want them involved to see what we are doing well and what we need to improve on. It is crucial that they remain part of our story. Everyone has the same value; we are one family that wins or loses together.”
