The Atlanta Falcons have trade one of the youngest player in the entire NFL who has 3,000 passing yards and threw 30 touchdowns
ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons and Marcus Mariota are hoping this will work out well.
After severing relations with Matt Ryan, the franchise’s longstanding face, the Falcons needed a quarterback.
Mariota needed a spot to start his career because he was selected second overall in the 2015 draft and his performance had fallen short of expectations.
Though he hasn’t started a game since 2019, he still has faith in his ability to guide a group of players to victory.
It’s a fantastic chance for me to prove myself and everyone who has supported me, Mariota added. “I’m thrilled. The past few years have been a wonderful reset.
Despite the Falcons’ numerous problems, Mariota is excited to work alongside running back/receiver Cordarrelle Patterson and one of the best tight ends in the game in Kyle Pitts, who was a rookie Pro Bowl selection.
We will have a great deal of versatility and be able to perform a wide range of tasks, which will work in our favor, Mariota stated. “This offense can hunt,” in my opinion.
The Falcons may turn to rookie Desmond Ridder, a third-round selection who helped Cincinnati to the College Football Playoff last season, if Mariota’s hunting expedition is fruitless.
