After his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk was suspended in March 2022, Tetê briefly played for Lyon, a French club, before joining the Foxes. As of right now, his return to Shakhtar is scheduled for July 1.

In the second part of the 2022–2023 season, he will provide Brendan Rodgers’ team more attacking options after making 30 appearances across all competitions for Lyon.

Tetê joined Lyon after FIFA issued a rule in March 2022 allowing all international players residing in Ukraine to stop their contracts. This season, he has made 17 appearances in Ligue 1, tallying three assists and six goals.

Tetê competed in the 2019 South American Under-20 Championship He has represented Brazil’s Under-20 and Under-23 teams internationally.

He will now get together with his Leicester City teammates in front of their away Premier League match on Saturday, February 4 (3pm kickoff).
