The president and the other board members made the decision to resign, citing the club’s best interests, as the club came under increasing financial investigation for purported irregularities in the balance sheet.
Nonetheless, the owners appointed a new chairman of the board without much delay, indicating that the change was pre-planned.
Gianluca Ferrero has been named the new president of Juventus by Exor, the holding company that holds the majority of the team’s shares. The remaining open positions on the board will be filled shortly.
The statement posted on EXOR’s official website states, “With reference to the decisions taken yesterday by the Board of Directors of Juventus FC and in advance of its Shareholders Meeting called for January 18, 2023, Exor communicates that it will indicate Gianluca Ferrero for the role of Chairman of Juventus.”
Mr. Ferrero is the most qualified candidate for this position because of his extensive experience, possession of the necessary technical skills, and sincere enthusiasm for the Bianconero Club. He has served as a corporate adviser, an auditor, and a member of several boards and committees.

The new president is a seasoned auditing professional with a history of holding prominent corporate positions, per his bio (attached to the statement).
He was born in Turin in 1963 and earned his economics degree in 1988.He joined the Registro dei Revisori Legali in 1995 after first becoming a member of the Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili of Turin in 1989.
He serves as the judge’s consultant at the same court as well. He is the Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors for the following companies: Emilio Lavazza S.a.p.a., Gedi Gruppo, Editoriale S.p.A., Biotronik, Italia S.p.A., Praxi Intellectual Property S.p.A., Fincantieri S.p.A., Luigi Lavazza S.p.A., Biotronik, Lifenet S.r.l., and Praxi Intellectual Property S.p.A.
He works for Fenera Holding S.p.A. as a standing auditor.
