This is excellent news: Aaron Boone will rejoin the Yankees as manager, and…
According to SNY’s Andy Martino, Aaron Boone is anticipated to rejoin the New York Yankees as manager in 2024, having missed the postseason for the first time since 2016.
Boone managed the Yankees for the previous six seasons, leading the team to a 509-361 record and a postseason berth each year prior to 2023. Under Boone, New York has gone 14–17 in the five postseason games played and has advanced to the ALCS twice.
The Yankees’ 82-80 record in 2023 was their lowest since 1992, and they took fourth place in the AL East.
Boone’s contract has one season left on it, and the 50-year-old will be back to assist the Yankees in their quest to snap their current 14-year World Series drought.
Gausman will start Game 1 of the wild-card series against the Twins, the Blue Jays have confirmed.
