In the world of recruiting, the quarterback position can occasionally be the most or least dramatic to watch. This is due to a number of factors.
Either these signal callers secure a spot at a particular program early or an extremely high-profile player at the position carries out the process longer. In one way or another, the fact that there is only one quarterback on the field undoubtedly plays a major role.
Lately, Oklahoma has seen an increase in the more restrained side of quarterback recruiting. Early in the process, the Sooners were able to sign both Michael Hawkins and Brendan Zurbrugg in 2024, and 2025 pledge Kevin Sperry has been in the running for a long time.

With that in mind, the staff of the Sooners has begun to concentrate on the 2026 cycle. Offers for signal callers are beginning to flow in.
As of right now, five targets have surfaced. A brief look at these quarterbacks is provided here:
Nashville Christian School’s Jared Curtis (Nashville, Tennessee)
In his class, Jared Curtis is already regarded as the best overall recruit. Naturally, people consider him to be the best quarterback in the cycle.
Georgia is currently favored in the 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction. Oklahoma might have some early ground to make up against one of 2026’s top teams if it decides to take the competition seriously.
Grimsley, Faizon Brandon (Greensboro, North Carolina)
Faizon Brandon is another quarterback who is ranked highly in the early 2026 rankings. The four-star recruit is ranked as the class’s 74th-best recruit overall.
In addition, Brandon ranks among the cycle’s early top six signal callers and top six players in the state of North Carolina. Early on, other programs involved included Alabama and Tennessee.
Jaden O’Neal, Newport Beach, California’s Newport Harbor
It’s crucial to keep in mind that there is currently only a list of the top 100 rankings for the sophomore class. It’s reasonable to assume Jaden O’Neal will be up there once that grows.

Coleman has sixteen offers as of right now. Undoubtedly, more are on the way. The latest team to enter the mix was the Sooners.
Florida’s Lake Mary, home of Noah Grubbs
Noah Grubbs is the other signal caller who received his OU offer in 2026 and is based in the Sunshine State. This player is also expected to rank among his cycle’s best, particularly given the position.
The 205-pound, 6-foot-4 player has already received 23 offers and anticipates more. Several universities, including Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, North Carolina, and others, are already keeping a close eye on Oklahoma as it enters the recruiting process.
