Romano says that West Ham has been interested in Amadou Onana and that they will probably make another move for him after the Scamacca deal is completed.
Additionally, David Moyes’ team is attempting to come to an agreement with Filip Kostic, the left-back for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gianluca Scamacca is anticipated to join West Ham shortly, according to Romano.
“The €36 million plus €6 million add-ons deal, along with a 10% sell-on clause, is nearing completion. While West Ham and Scamacca’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, are finalizing the tax details with the player, Sassuolo has already accepted the proposal.

The same agent has also been in conversation with West Ham regarding Filip Kostic. Eintracht Frankfurt has already received an offer of €12–13 million, but personal terms talks with Kostic are still in the early stages.
“In the end, West Ham has also made a €38 million offer for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, but no deal has been finalized. The signing of Scamacca is the Hammers’ top priority; after that, they will concentrate on furthering the Onana deal negotiations.

Thus, Scamacca’s deal is essentially finished, leaving two more to handle. Why not move on to Kostic and Onana now that Scamacca’s deal has been finalized? Is handling two at a time too much, or are men incapable of multitasking, as some women claim?

I recognize what you’re saying, Steve, but we have been waiting for a premier striker for the past three years, and we believe that Scamacca should come first at all costs. After that, we can concentrate more on other targets, particularly at left guard, where Antonio, at 32, is prone to injuries, so we can use Brereton Diaz as a backup striker. Onana, who appears to be a powerhouse in midfield, is someone I like.

Hello Muffybean, You are quite correct, of course. I was just being cynical and a little impatient, as usual. I’m hoping that this season we can push the “top” and hit all of our goals.

Given that Kostic and Scamacca have the same representative, it might not be possible to conduct two separate negotiations with the same agent. It appears that Onana and the club are at odds. Most likely, they are gauging the market before moving forward. Additionally, West Ham will have to update its budgetary options at the conclusion of each deal.

All of this is wonderful news for us Hammers supporters, but we’ve been waiting a long time for it to happen. I won’t think it’s happened until I see these possible signings in claret and blue.
