A prospective Lakers fan is furious with Darvin Ham following the team’s loss in New York, which almost sparks unrest and a team ban.
Darvin Ham, the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, has been under fire after his team lost its third of its previous four games and blew a very winnable home game against the New York Knicks, 114-109.
With a lineup this skilled, LA’s season record of 15–12 is a little underwhelming. The problem, in this writer’s opinion, stems from the team’s dubious decision to re-sign D’Angelo Russell after the player’s terrible playoff performance against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals last spring. To mitigate that, Ham has essentially benched Russell, who ranks 10th in his own team’s fourth quarter minutes when Austin Reaves plays over him to close. Therefore, rather than being a rotational issue, it is more of a personnel issue—though Reaves ought to be starting over D-Lo.
It is obvious that Richie B does not recall the Byron Scott or Luke Walton years very well.
