It was revealed today that Dario (DAH-ree-oh) Šarić (SHAH-ritch), a free agency forward/center, has signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors. The terms of the arrangement were kept confidential, per team policy.
The 29-year-old Šarić has averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 23.7 minutes in 413 games (217 starts) over his seven-year tenure with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Phoenix Suns.
The 6’10” forward played in 57 games (12 starts) with the Suns and Thunder in the previous campaign, averaging 14.1 minutes per game, 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Šarić set career-high averages in points (14.6), rebounds (6.7), assists (2.6), and three-point field goals made (157) while playing for the 76ers in the 2017–18 season.
Šarić, a native of Šibenik, Croatia, was drafted by the 76ers with the 12th overall choice in the 2014 NBA Draft. Prior to entering the NBA, he played professionally in Turkey and Croatia.
