SEALED; The Buckeyes have just completed another major big monster Deal.
Aaron Scott Jr., a 2024 five-star cornerback, joined the Buckeyes on Wednesday during Early Signing Day, strengthening their defensive line.
In July, Scott chose Ohio State over Michigan to become the 19th commit and the first cornerback in the Buckeyes’ 2024 recruiting class. He was just another recruit that cornerbacks coach Tim Walton was successful in bringing in for the 2024 class.
The native of Springfield, Ohio, was ranked No. 40 overall, the best recruit in the Buckeye State for 2024, and the second-best cornerback. At Springfield High School, Scott recorded 21 tackles in his junior year, three of which were for loss, five interceptions (two of which he returned for touchdowns), and one fumble recovery.
The 6-0, 170-pound cornerback participates in track and field and basketball.
Scott will be the first high school graduate from Clark County to play for the Buckeyes since Steve Pavelka of Shawnee and John Adams of Northeastern were both on the team in 2002. Each of them was a walk-on.
Ohio State boasts five five-star recruits, twelve four-star recruits, and four three-star recruits in their 2024 recruiting class, making it the third best in the nation behind Georgia and Alabama.
Ohio State has 22 total commits for the cycle in their offense-focused 2024 recruiting class, which is led by the Buckeyes.
