Although he struggled at the worst possible moment, the Baltimore Ravens’ first-round rookie this season has been a bright spot for the offense.

Zay Flowers, a wide receiver selected in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens, has spent most of his rookie campaign playing fantastically.

Nonetheless, Flowers produced one of the most humble plays in playoff history during the most recent offensive drive in the AFC Championship game.

Late in the third quarter, with the Chiefs behind 17-7, Flowers was downed at the Chiefs 10-yard line after catching a deep ball from Lamar Jackson. The problem? Flowers lost 10 yards on the completion after taunting corner L’Jarius Sneed, which partially neutralized the 54-yard completion.

To make matters worse, Flowers mishandled a tackle by Sneed when diving into the end zone three plays later.

Patrick Mahomes and the offense regained possession of the ball after the Chiefs recovered a fumble in the end zone.

After the two bad plays, Flowers allegedly sliced his hand on the sidelines out of fury.

Late in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship game, the Ravens still trail the Chiefs by ten points, failing to close the gap to just one touchdown. After just misplacing the ball the fifth fewest times in the regular season, it was the team’s second turnover of the match.
