Due to the following action, the star player for the Indianapolis Colts has retired.
Khari Willis, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, was about to begin his fourth NFL season when he made the decision to follow a greater calling.
On Wednesday, Willis, 26, declared his resignation and disclosed that he was entering the ministry.

“I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the Indianapolis Colts organization for giving me the chance to play in the NFL for the last three years. My ties with many of my teammates, coaches, and support staff have lasted a lifetime and have had a profound influence on me. “I’ll be able to apply the lessons I’ve learned in this stage of my life to my next chapter,” Willis began.
“After careful thought and prayer, I have decided to formally retire from the NFL in order to dedicate the rest of my life to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. I want to express my gratitude to everyone in my family, friends, and supporters for helping me along the way. I look forward to having your support going forward as I enter the next stage of my life.
“I am filled with joy and purpose as I pursue the holy call that God has placed on my life, and I am also filled with humility.” I appreciate all of your help throughout the years.

Willis was chosen by the Colts from Michigan State in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
33 of the 39 NFL games he participated in as a starter. Throughout his NFL career, he recorded 219 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions, and a score.
