After a protracted battle to sign this incredible star, the Buffalo Bills have finally sealed this historic contract.
In anticipation of Buffalo Bills‘ NFL Wild-Card playoff game against the Miami Dolphins, linebacker AJ Klein has joined the team’s practice squad.
Klein was a part of the Buffalo Bills’ (11-6) 53-man roster and practice squad earlier in the season.
In tandem with this, Buffalo also released defensive tackle Eli Ankou from the taxi unit.
Concerns over linebacker Tyrel Dodson’s health have been raised by Klein’s return. Given that Dodson’s shoulder injury from Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins is included on this week’s injury report, is Klein’s insertion a hint that he might not play? or only as a precautionary measure?
If Buffalo decides on Saturday to activate Klein or another linebacker off their practice squad prior to Sunday’s Steelers game, Dodson is most likely not going to participate.
The Bills announced on Thursday that they had signed LB A.J. Klein to the practice squad, bringing back a familiar face.
The Bills selected Klein off waivers in November of last year, and he played in six games.
The 32-year-old linebacker was added to the team’s 53-man roster prior to Week 3 of the 2023 season, despite not being included on it at first.
In a related action, LB Christian Kirksey declared his intention to retire.
