After a protracted battle to sign this incredible star, the Steelers have finally sealed this historic contract.

Pittsburgh The Pittsburgh Steelers are starting to assemble their 2024 summer roster, and they have signed a number of players to Reserve/Futures contracts. The NFL’s transaction wire reports that the team signed 17 players.

Defense tackle Jonathan Marshall, center Ryan McCollum, wide receiver Denzel Mims, running back Aaron Shampklin, defensive lineman Jacob Slade, wide receiver Duece Watts, offensive lineman Joey Fisher, wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick, offensive tackle Devery Hamilton, offensive tackle Anderson Hardy, wide receiver Keilahn Harris, offensive tackle Kellen Diesch, fullback Jack Colleto, defensive tackle Luq Barqoo, and safety Jalen Elliott were all signed by the team.

The Steelers practice squad that season included Barqoo, Colleto, Diesch, Elliott, Fisher, Fitzpatrick, Marshall, McCollum, Mims, and Watts. Fitzpatrick was also added to the active roster, serving as a backup for several weeks as Diontae Johnson healed from a hamstring strain.

In 2020, Callaway signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints without being selected. He set team records in 2021 for receiving yards (698) and touchdowns (six).

Harris, an Oklahoma Baptist graduate who was an undrafted free agent, played on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad during the season. During his 34 games as a college player, he caught 196 passes for 2,510 yards and 26 touchdowns. In addition, he has 1,570 yards and a touchdown on 70 kick returns.

Shampkin played with the Indianapolis Colts for a portion of the 2022 season and briefly played for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023. The Harvard graduate was chosen twice for the All-Ivy League team.

Slade, a graduate of Michigan State, was a member of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad for a portion of the 2023 year. During the Spartans, he racked up 88 tackles, including 11.5 for a loss, four sacks, four passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.

Hardy, an undrafted rookie from Appalachian State, inked a contract to join the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad this season. Hamilton, who attended Stanford for a portion of his college career before completing his studies at Duke, has played in the NFL with the New York Giants and also saw action with the Las Vegas Raiders practice team.

Beach was a member of the Houston Texans practice squad in 2023. Wisconsin is the third-team selection for the 2021 All-Big Ten team.
