Alex Pritchard of Sunderland may be leaving the team after official offers from Turkish Süper Lig side Sivasspor were reported.

According to Turkish reporter Ertan Süzgün, who shared the information on his X account, the Sunderland midfield player has received an official offer from the Turkish team.

Pritchard, 30, signed a free agent contract with Sunderland in July 2021 after playing for Huddersfield Town. After three years in the northeast, his contract with the Black Cats is scheduled to end in the summer.

Sunderland’s Alex Pritchard
Although Pritchard’s acceptance of any offer is unknown at this time, the offensive midfielder may be drawn to a move to Turkey given his limited number of starts at the Stadium of Light this season as they attempt to return to the Premier League following a protracted absence.

Pritchard may get back again with Clinton N’Jie, with whom he played for Tottenham Hotspur for a season, if he relocates to Sivas.

limited beginnings at Sunderland
Pritchard has made 114 league and cup appearances since joining Sunderland in 2021, including 28 starts and 39 total league appearances as the team was promoted from League One.

However, in his 22 Championship appearances this season, Pritchard has only made eight starts.

Due to Sunderland’s youthful lineup, Pritchard has frequently found 18-year-old Jobe Bellingham occupying his offensive midfield position, especially in the early going.

Pritchard has played an average of 47 minutes per game for Sunderland this season, contributing five assists and one goal (Sofascore), demonstrating his inventiveness despite playing little time in games.
