Joe Mazzulla’s insistence on making his team impervious has secured the Celtics’ roster with yet another excellent addition.
After the team’s practice on Monday, the day the deal became official, Blake Griffin’s signing was discussed by Boston Celtics interim head coach Joe Mazzulla.
Griffin is a big man with a ton of experience who can help the ball club on both ends of the court, according to the Celtics coach. The veteran big man anticipates participating in some preseason games and earning a spot in a frontcourt that will be without starting center Robert Williams III for at least the first few months of the 2022–2023 regular season.
However, with one week of training camp under their belts, other big men like Al Horford, Grant Williams, Luke Kornet, and Mfiondu Kabengele are already vying for playing time.
