Arians declared in a statement that he “loves football.” I adore everything about it—the rivalry, the strategy, the relationships. Although it has been an incredible journey, I am confident that now is the ideal moment for me to make this change.

“So why this moment? The short answer is that this amazing coaching adventure has allowed me to achieve more than I ever imagined. Really, the last thing on my career bucket list was to win Super Bowl LV at our home stadium in front of my mother and family. In my opinion.

Thanks to the efforts of Jason and the Glazer family, who are dedicated to winning, this team is in a far better place than it was three years ago. Don’t assume that this is about my health just yet. I haven’t felt better in a long time, and I’m excited to use my new position to support this team’s continued success.

“I want to concentrate on what I can contribute to this amazing game, which has given my family and I so much. This offseason, I really started to consider my personal transition plan. When I left, I wanted to make sure Todd Bowles had the best chance to be successful.
