Sad news: Everyone is shocked to learn that another Dallas Cowboys player has been suspended.

The Dallas Cowboys have more suspensions in the past two years than they do Super Bowl rings in franchise history.

The NFL made an official announcement on Wednesday that Cowboys defensive end David Irving will be suspended for the first four games of the 2017 NFL season due to a PED violation. Irving’s suspension had been previously reported but it wasn’t confirmed until now.

Irving could be a significant loss for the Cowboys. He’s one of the team’s best pass rushers on a defense that doesn’t exactly boast a ton of edge rushing talent. Irving’s four sacks in 2016 were fourth on the team.

The Cowboys play the New York Giants (home), the Denver Broncos (away), the Arizona Cardinals (away), and the Los Angeles Rams (home) in their first four games this year.
