TRAGICALLY: She was sacked by the owner of the England Lionesses.
sarina Wiegman insisted she has no plans to leave her role as England manager before her contract runs out in 2025 despite being linked with the United States job.
Wiegman will lead the Lionesses into a first ever World Cup final on Sunday, 12 months after she made history by winning Euro 2022 on home soil.
The manager’s success since taking over in 2021 makes her one of the standout candidates for the US, who are looking for a new boss after Vlatko Andonovski resigned following a poor performance at this summer’s tournament.
But Wiegman, who said she is only focusing on preparing to face Spain in Sunday’s final, is happy with England and blocking out the talk around her future.
‘I’m staying out of that (rumours about the US). I’ve heard it. I’m with England, I’m really happy with England and I have a contract until 2025,’ she said on Friday.
I won’t be involved in those rumors regarding the US. I’ve been informed. She declared on Friday, “I’m with England, I’m really happy with England, and I have a contract until 2025.”
I’m having a great time at work, and it seems like others still think well of me for it. I don’t intend to depart.
Mark Bullingham, the chief executive of the Football Association, stated on Thursday that any proposal for Wiegman would not be considered by the governing body.
When asked if they would flatly turn down an offer, Bullingham replied, “Yes, 100%.”
“There would be no price too high to lose her.” Money is not the main concern. She seems pleased to us, and we are quite happy with her. That, I believe, is the solution.
Following England’s semi-final triumph against Australia, Wiegman had expressed that she felt as though she was living in a fairytale.

After leading the Netherlands to victory in the 2017 Euro, the manager has now advanced to four major finals. However, the Netherlands lost to the US in the 2019 World Cup final.
“It’s truly special, and Arjan (Veurink, assistant manager) knows it too because it’s his fourth final,” Wiegman remarked.
It’s common for everyone in elite sports to aim to reach the championship game, but this isn’t possible for everyone. Few teams advance to the championship round. Reaching four is really, really great, but as soon as you do, I start to consider what needs to be done. Here we are in the however, my only thought right now is, “How can we defeat Spain?”
‘When you’re so near you’re only thinking “OK, what’s next, what can we get in front of us, what challenges can we expect, how are we going to prepare the team, we’re already working on that because we did the recovery and now we’re getting ready for Spain, no, and I don’t want to relax, I just want to get ready.”
