Sad news: 5 star Detroit Lions players are suspended by the NFL for the following reasons.
Five players, four from the Detroit Lions and one from the Washington Commanders, have been suspended by the NFL for breaking the gambling policy of the organization.
The NFL has announced that Quintez Cephus, C.J. Moore, and Shaka Toney of the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders, respectively, will be suspended indefinitely through at least the end of the 2023 season for their wagers on NFL games during the 2022 season. At the end of the 2023 season, these players will have the opportunity to petition for reinstatement.
According to the NFL, Stanley Berryhill and Jameson Williams of the Lions will miss the first six games of the 2023 regular season.
All off-season and preseason events, including preseason games, are open to these players. The NFL states that the suspensions will start at the final roster cutdown.

According to the NFL, the gambling policy forbids anyone involved in the league from partaking in any kind of gambling in any club or league facility or venue, including the practice facility. It is reviewed annually with all NFL personnel, including players.
A league review stated that there was no compromise of any kind to the games.
