Within the next 48 hours following his retirement, the Hershey Bears‘ finest players have selected another team head coach to take over as coach.

The Hershey Bears signed forward Brennan Saulnier to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2024–25 campaign, the team announced today.

The 30-year-old Saulnier played in 36 games for the Belleville Senators in the previous campaign, scoring seven points (3g, 4a) and racking up 94 penalty minutes, which tied him second on the team. In the previous season, he recorded five fighting majors.

On January 10, against Manitoba, he played in his 100th AHL game. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native played in 30 games for Belleville in 2022–23 and finished with 15 points (6g, 9a). From 2020 to 22 he also played for Lehigh Valley for portions of two seasons.

Saulnier has participated in 125 AHL games with Lehigh Valley and Belleville overall, totaling 35 points (16g, 19a), and 302 assists.
