Los Angeles Kings are making another huge deal with this.
The Los Angeles Kings announced on Monday that they had signed defenseman Reilly Walsh to a one-year, two-way contract with an annual salary charge of $775,000 dollars.
The five-foot-11, right-handed blueliner played 60 games with the Providence Bruins, Boston’s AHL club, in 2023–2024, tallying nine goals and 19 assists for a total of 28 points.
The 25-year-old Framingham, Massachusetts native was first selected by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 2017 NHL draft. He became a member of their minor league team at the start of the 2020–2021 season. Walsh would score 99 points through 174 games in their farm system over the course of the following three seasons. In the 2021–22 season, he scored 43 points in 70 games, a career high, and made his NHL debut with New Jersey.
Walsh decided to play for Harvard for three years, from 2017 to 2020, after being drafted. During that time, he scored 78 points in 96 games.
