Patrick Mahomes is a lock to be the NFL’s greatest player of all time (GOAT). The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs is directly vying for the informal championship with the now-retired Tom Brady. But since his career might not last as long as Brady’s, time is not on his side.
Mahomes has three Super Bowl victories under his belt, three records to his credit, and several accolades and awards throughout his seven years in the NFL. Although he is still far from Brady in terms of numbers, his leadership and unquestionable quality already rank him among the greatest in history.

Mahomes could eventually catch up to Brady’s stats, particularly considering the seven titles he showcased. Brady completed a 23-year career to attain it. Randi Mahomes, Mahomes’ mother, cautioned him that he might not have much time.
His career can terminate prematurely.
Randi supported the Chiefs quarterback’s statement, made on a recent episode of “The Mom Game Podcast,” that he would be ready to hang up his spikes if his career got in the way of his family.
Randi Mahomes remarked, “I hear him, you know, make comments like, ‘If the game takes away from my kids, I might not play as long as Tom Brady,’ and I’m like, I’m so proud of him for that,” during the conversation with Julie Dobbs and Emily Jones.
The mother of Patrick, Jackson, and Mia, Randi, recalls that her oldest son’s least favorite sport was football, to the point where he nearly gave up on the game. But as he got ready to head off to college, he made the decision to keep playing football.
In previous interviews, Mahomes expressed that his family comes before his job. “I’ve examined. My daughter, if I continued to play until she was Tom’s age, would be 19 or 20. The Chiefs signal-caller clarified, “That would mean missing a lot of youth sporting events and other commitments.”
