During the weekend series between the Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox on May 17–19, two messages went viral due to the way they were broadcast.
It said, “Happy 10th B-Day, Bethany,” on the board. beneath which was written, “Please Fire Marmol.”

Since Marmol is still the Cardinals’ manager as of right now, he didn’t lose his job. FanSided, the site that broke the story initially, notes that someone might be disciplined for not reviewing the message before it was made public and visible to all ballparks. Furthermore, there have previously been unscreened messages distributed at Busch Stadium.
