Sad news: The head coach of Detriot Red Wings is suspended after proved that he had affair with his key player’s wife
In Tuesday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, head coach Derek Lalonde came off the bench following a contentious no-call by the referees that sent him into a furious tirade.
Midway through the game, as the Penguins started to cut into the Red Wings’ three-point lead, came the play that sent Lalonde into a frenzy. Alex Nedeljkovic of the Red Wings blocked a point-blank attempt by Jeff Carter with his pads.
Jason Zucker of the Penguins tried to pry the puck into the net by pushing his stick under Nedeljkovic’s pads after he saw that the player was ignorant of its location. It seemed like Zucker shoved him into the net in the process.

Once that was established, Lalonde requested a coach’s challenge to investigate if goalie interference occurred.
At Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, a protracted review transpired, during which officials and other participants examined various perspectives. The Red Wings bench and supporters believed that Zucker’s hit on Nedeljkovic would result in a goal reversal.
Rather, referees determined that goalie interference did not occur, and Lalonde lost it.
“What the f— are we doing here?” Lalonde is audibly heard saying to the referees several times.

After receiving a game misconduct eventually, he was observed leaving the ice and entering the tunnel.
The Red Wings defeated the Penguins 7-4 after a four-goal third period, proving they would not let their enraged coach’s defense go to waste.
In addition to leading Detroit with a hat trick at the end of the game, other scorers for the team included Dominik Kubalik, Andrew Copp, Dylan Larkin, and Jonatan Berggren.
Come Wednesday morning, Lalonde might be facing a fine from the league for his outburst at the referees and subsequent ejection.
