According to the announcer OKC Thunder head coach has name another…
One of the most exciting teams in the NBA is the OKC Thunder.
OKC is the No. 1 seed in the West, even though they have the second-youngest team in the league going into the season. New Orleans, the eighth seed, is who it will play in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
However, OKC’s players aren’t the only young stars on the rise. Mark Daigneault is the head coach. At 39 years old, he is the third-youngest head coach in the league.

Mark Daigneault began his career in college.
After finishing from UConn, where he worked as a student manager from 2003 to 2007, Daigneault got a job at Holy Cross as an assistant coach.
Daigneault played for the Crusaders for three years. In 2009, they won the Patriot League Championship. After that, from 2010 to 2014, he worked as an assistant coach for Florida under head coach Billy Donovan.
Daigneault was involved in scouting and working with players off the court. Florida won three SEC Titles during that time and made the Elite Eight each year while he was on the staff.
Daigneault also helped Donovan during his time coaching USA Basketball.

Mark Daigneault became the OKC Blue’s head coach in 2014
Daigneault got hired as the head coach of the OKC Blue, the OKC Thunder’s G League franchise, on Aug. 22, 2014.
The Blue went 28-22 in Daigneault’s first season at the head. It marked the most wins by the team since 2011.
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — As the Oklahoma City Thunder head to the playoffs, Head Coach Mark Daigneault was named the Michael H. Goldberg NBCA Coach of the Year.
During the 2023-24 season, Daigneault helped lead the Thunder to a 57-25 record, becoming the youngest team in NBA history to win the No. 1 seed in either conference.
The team beat their best overall record from 2013-14 and became the youngest team in NBA history to win more than 55 games.
The Thunder will start each home game of the 2024 NBA Playoffs with Thunder UP in the Park.
The pregame event is a free, family-friendly gathering at Scissortail Park Plaza, starting on Sunday, April 21.
