The chiefs have taken a drastic decision as they’ve made a potential move to sign this monstrous power house from….

The Buffalo Bills may bench standout wide receiver Stefon Diggs during the offseason, according to an NFL insider this week. In the past few seasons, Diggs has experienced a turbulent time with the Bills.

Diggs was dissatisfied with the offense and his limited playing time in the previous season’s postseason. A member of the Bills coaching staff allegedly asked him to leave OTAs this spring.

Diggs and the offensive line got off to a smooth start. However, Digg’s performance has declined as the season has progressed. Since the trade deadline, he has scored two touchdowns. December’s best performance for Diggs came against the Dallas Cowboys, when he recorded 48 receiving yards on four receptions.

Diggs might be shipped by the Buffalo Bills to a competitor.
The Bills may bench Diggs in the offseason, according to NBC Sports’ Mike Florio. Diggs would be free to sign with the wide receiver-desperate Kansas City Chiefs, as he has a Super Bowl winning goal in mind:

Perhaps he’s just ready to put the Bills behind him.

During the impending offseason, that becomes one of the important questions. When will he be let go? Shall he be sliced?

Right now, the numbers just don’t support the salary. In five of the season’s first six games, Diggs accumulated 100 yards or more. He’s had none since then. He has over 1,000 yards for the season, but in three of the last four games, he has had less than 30 yards, and since November 5, he has only scored one touchdown.

Is he able to complete it? Unless he has an opportunity to do so with another team, such as the Chiefs, that may not be known.

In 2022, Diggs inked a $96 million, four-year contract. That represents a sizeable portion of the Bills’ cap space for a wide receiver who hasn’t scored more than ten touchdowns this year.

If Diggs and the Bills can salvage something from the regular season, then the stats will be forgotten. Diggs dislikes losing, and he dislikes it much more when he isn’t allowed to have an influence on the outcome of the game.

In January, quarterback Josh Allen will undoubtedly pay him more attention. The Diggs incident from last year’s Cincinnati Bengals postseason game is not something the Bills want to happen again.
