If he is not fired, I will leave the Atlanta Braves head coach, as he has a misunderstanding with his star player.

I’ll step down as head coach of the Atlanta Braves if he is not sacked because of a disagreement with a key player.

Team manager Fredi González was let go after the Atlanta Braves had one of their poorest starts in franchise history, with a record of 9-28.

Following an 18-loss April, he was under intense scrutiny, with many anticipating backlash from the team’s front staff. González apparently had the worst possible reaction when he learned of his dismissal on Tuesday. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution claims that González received an email regarding a confirmation of an airline flight. To his astonishment, team president of baseball operations John Hart had reserved the aircraft. Hart, along with general manager John Coppolella, had flown to Pittsburgh to inform González of his dismissal.

Regarding the timing and his termination, González stated, “I don’t think there’s a perfect time to do it.” They did it, in my opinion, because they felt that the moment was perfect to do it.I will tell you this: my team performed hard despite everything. Their asses were busted. They were forced to respond to unwarranted queries concerning the management, but they all did it classily and gave their all.”

The 52-year-old former manager said that shortly after learning of his dismissal, he had a conversation with Braves players. “I saw a few of them in the lobby when I was checking out, and I’ve spoken to half a dozen of them,” he stated. It was enjoyable to oversee Freddie Freeman for six years as he developed into a well-known big league player, matured, and shortly became a father in this area. It was enjoyable to watch him go through that process together with Julio Teheran and other guys.”
