“First impressions, ah man,” linebacker Zaire Franklin thought to himself this week. “Just a real person, very humble, competitive, and knowing that he was a Pennsylvanian and a Big-33 graduate like myself. Stopped will be Reich’s offense and rookie quarterback Bryce Young by Franklin and his defense.

Knowing Frank, I’m anticipating a wrinkle or two, just because I know he’s that competitive,” Franklin remarked. Of course, Bryce is capable. Excellent young player; fast release, and he appears to understand what they’re doing well. Of course, they acquired (Adam) Thielen, the seasoned receiver. All year round, he has been writing plays. Though we have our job cut out for us, it presents a welcome challenge.”

Reich met head coach Shane Steichen early in their careers. The San Diego Chargers employed Steichen as an offensive quality control coach in 2014 and 2015 when Reich served as the offensive coordinator.

“I really do respect Frank,” Steichen declared this week. “Excellent football coach, knowledgeable about the game and even a better person overall.
