Bad news: The star player for the Detroit Lions has been suspended for the following.

Jameson Williams, a receiver for the Detroit Lions who was suspended for the first six games of the season, claimed he had no idea that he had broken the NFL’s gambling policy.

Williams told reporters on Thursday, “It hit me out of the blue.” “And it unexpectedly hit a few other players on my team and around the league.”

For placing bets on NFL games the previous season, the league suspended Quintez Cephus, C.J. Moore, and Shaka Toney of the Washington Redskins for the entire 2023 season in April. The players may request to be reinstated.

Stanley Berryhill, Williams’ teammate and the 12th overall pick in 2022, were benched for six games after they gambled on non-NFL games at a league facility.
