An all-time great Philadelphia Phillies player wants to leave the team because of all of the losses.

The Atlanta Braves tied the NL Division Series at one game apiece on Monday night thanks to an incredible comeback victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, which included two-run home runs by Travis d’Arnaud and Austin Riley as well as a game-ending double play that will go down in history. The Braves had been held hitless into the sixth inning.

Starting at catcher over a slumping Sean Murphy, D’Arnaud gave the Braves hope in the seventh inning by putting a shot into the left-field seats, trimming Philadelphia’s lead to 4-3.

It was the series’ first extra-base hit for Atlanta.

With two outs in the eighth inning with a 3-2 pitch from Jeff Hoffman (0-1) in the bullpen, Riley delivered the second, giving the Braves their first lead of the best-of-five series. Hoffman’s first pitch out of the bullpen hit Ronald Acuña Jr. in the left arm, scoring him a run ahead of Riley.

Brian Snitker, manager of the Braves, stated, “I just have faith in those guys.” “What do you know? You are given a hard 27 (outs)… There will always be fights in the batter’s box.

It concluded in an equally magnificent manner. Nick Castellanos hit one to the fence in deep right-center with Bryce Harper aboard, only to be denied on a spectacular leaping catch by Michael Harris II.

Harris made the grab, but Harper had already circled second base. Desperately backing up, he skidded the throw back to the infield past Ozzie Albies, second baseman. Riley, however, quickly reversed the play and made a zipping throw to first to complete the double play.

The entire series is woven together in one instant. Wednesday is the third game in Philadelphia.

In the opening game of the NL Division Series, the Phillies shut out the 104-win Atlanta Braves 3-0.

Regarding Harper’s baserunning error, Phillies manager Rob Thomson remarked, “Usually you don’t pass the base.” You keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get caught. However, he didn’t think he was going to grab the ball because he believed it was obviously above his head. And what a play Harris put on. Incredible.
