Quarterback Don Deal disclosed in the commander’s…
The 2023 season for the Washington Commanders will never be forgotten. Fortunately, they and their supporters still have one game left. Nonetheless, there are certain ramifications for both teams in this game versus the Dallas Cowboys. That is why it matters that the starting quarterback in this game.
Sam Howell was selected by Commanders head coach Ron Rivera to start at quarterback in Week 18, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. This means that, if nothing extraordinary occurs in the interim, Howell will have started every one of the Washington Commanders’ 17 games this season. Regretfully, it does not appear that Howell has in any way been guaranteed the starting position for 2024.
The Commanders benched Howell in favor of quarterback Jacoby Brissett during Week 16. Brissett was supposed to start at quarterback in Week 17 after his strong showing in Week 16. But in the middle of the week, he had an injury that forced Howell to return to the starting lineup.
In addition, Washington has a dismal 4-12 record as of this writing in the season. As a result, they currently own the second overall pick in the NFL Draft of 2024. Given how talented this quarterback class is anticipated to be, there has been speculation as to whether the Commanders may cut Howell after this season.

Next are the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are now in a position to take the #2 slot in the NFC thanks to their hard-fought victory over the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles’ shocking loss last week. To win this game, all they have to do is take out the Commanders.
