SAD NEWS: After beating their team announcer to death for just two reasons, two Stoke City players were suspended and placed in jail.
Following their chants regarding two Leeds United fans who were killed, two Stoke City supporters have been barred from all football venues in England and Wales. According to West Yorkshire Police, Mark Turner and Callum Lawton were seen making fun of the 2000 deaths of two Whites supporters in Istanbul.
The disgusting taunts took place on Tuesday, March 5, during Leeds’ home match against Stoke City at Elland Road. They were situated right above the home crowd in the stadium’s away section, West Stand Upper.
Last Wednesday, March 20, the two appeared before Leeds magistrates and entered guilty pleas. They were each given three-year football banning orders. Turner was hit with a £553 fine, £85 in costs, and a victim surcharge of £221. Lawton was also assessed a £120 fine, £85 in costs, and a £48 victim surcharge.
