SAD report: The Ottawa PWHL best player has officially announced to step down, Due to his marriage…
Even before the first-ever season begins, Ottawa’s Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) club continues to sell out of tickets.
Both the home opener on January 2 in Ottawa and the game on January 13 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre versus Toronto are officially sold out.
As of 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, there were less than 50 single tickets left for the Jan. 17 game versus Minnesota at the Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, and no double tickets were available outside of accessible seats.
The game scheduled for January 23 at TD Place is almost sold out; less than thirty single tickets are still available on the Ticketmaster website.com vs Toronto.
Upper bowl seats were made available when the game’s capacity was achieved on January 2.
Once those seats were sold out, the last push to capacity was made available. The event will break the previous record for pro women’s hockey attendance in North America.
The team kept making signing announcements throughout the holidays. Fanni Garát-Gasparics, captain of the Hungarian national team and a 2023 PHF All-Star, and Akane Shiga, a forward for the Japanese national team, were also signed to one-year contracts.
