Stoke City have signed another goalkeeper to replace Jack Elliott Bonham, who went down on a serious injury reserve.

In order to replace Jack Elliott Bonham, who was placed on serious injury reserve, Stoke City has signed a new goalkeeper.

According to sources from Montenegro, via StokeonTrentLive, Sarkic was forced to miss their international matches later in March because of a problem he sustained during the team’s 5-1 thumping of Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this past weekend.

Owing to a quad injury, the 25-year-old had to be substituted at halftime. Jack Bonham appears likely to be filling in for the remainder of the season, as it has been reported that Sarkic will miss eight to ten weeks of play as a result of the setback.

Late in the January transfer window, Sarkic joined Wolves on loan, and since then, he has participated in all seven Championship games, taking Josef Bursik’s spot.

If Sarkic’s injury was as bad as stated, he may have played the final game of his short-term stay at the Bet365 Stadium. Stoke’s agreement with Wolves does not include a set price for Sarkic’s potential summer transfer to the Potters.

The dismay expressed on social media in response to this revelation suggests that Sarkic has impressed Stoke sufficiently thus far.

After finding a more controlling goalkeeper in the second half of the season, Alex Neil decided to trade for Bursik and Bonham.

Stoke will aim to finish as high up the league as they can, but the Montenegrin’s likely season-long absence will be devastating. The player was doing well.

Sarkic is undoubtedly a long-term answer in goal; therefore, Stoke should still try their hardest to recruit him permanently before the 2023–24 campaign, even though it seems unlikely that he will have much of a future at Molineux.
