After suffering a terrifying injury during the 2023 season, a running back for the Buffalo Bills and former starter for the New England Patriots has announced his decision to retire from the NFL. Injuries plagued the Bills in the early portion of the season.
Last season, the Buffalo Bills experienced a terrifying injury.
Damien Harris had one of the more frightening injuries. According to GH records, Harris needed to be removed off the field by paramedics in Week 6 due to a neck injury:
Ari Meriov of the 33rd Team posted that Harris, who is 27 years old, has announced his resignation from the league. Harris expressed gratitude to Belichick and Nick Saban, his football coaches, for his achievements on the field:
“Playing football has been one of the greatest privileges in my life for the past 20 years.” Just a small portion of what God has accomplished in my life with the game of football includes getting to represent the team on the back of my jersey both on and off the field, competing at the highest level with and against the best opponents while winning championships, and being coached by the two greatest head coaches of all time, Bill Belichick and Nick Saban.
