Good news: A player who announced his retirement will have another opportunity to play for Tampa Buccaners

On Sunday, Tom Brady announced his intention to rejoin the NFL and play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 23rd season.

Why this matter? Following his retirement last month, 44-year-old Brady made the unexpected announcement.

Creating the news: “I’ve come to the realization that my place is still on the field, not in the stands, over the last two months. That moment is coming. It’s not now, though,” Brady tweeted.

“I cherish my family’s support and my teammates. They enable everything. I’m returning to Tampa for my 23rd season. LFG unfinished business.”
Important to note: A few hours prior to his Twitter reveal, Brady shared a video on Instagram of himself and Cristiano Ronaldo at the English soccer team’s home field. In the video, the Portuguese player asks, “All right? You’re done, I take it?”

Brady doesn’t say anything, but it looks like he’s mouthing the word “probably.”
In a tweet, the Buccaneers stated, “Unfinished business 😤 #GoBucs.”

The NFL said on Twitter, “He’s back.”
In summary, Brady is the quarterback with the most career passing attempts, completions, touchdowns, and victories in the league.

He went on to have more Super Bowl rings than any player in league history after being selected 199th overall in the 2000 NFL draft. He won six with the Patriots and one with the Bucs in 2021.
He received three league MVP awards and five Super Bowl MVP nominations.
