Sad news: The head coach of Seattle Mariners sheld tears as two of his best player’s has made a final decision to terminate their contract
With a 7-2 deficit against the New York Yankees in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Seattle Mariners had a steep hill to climb. Therefore, it didn’t help that Seattle was shown two outs due to catcher Tom Murphy’s check-swing-turned-strike.
During his at-bat in the bottom half of the sixth, Murphy seemed to check his swing on a Michael King slider, but the Yankees wanted to confirm this with C.B. Bucknor, the first base umpire.
Murphy’s bat was deemed to have extended past home plate by Bucknor, who declared a strike. Replay, however, unequivocally demonstrated that Murphy checked his swing in time for the ball to be declared a ball.

After reading his lips, Murphy responded to Bucknor’s call down the line with shock and obvious frustration.
Murphy was heard screaming, “That’s f—ing terrible,” at Bucknor.
For the second time in his career, home plate umpire Brian Walsh was behind the dish, and he moved quickly to remove Murphy from the game.
Scott Servais, manager of the Mariners, leaped from the dugout to dispute Walsh’s choice and the call by Bucknor, and naturally, after a heated exchange of words, he was also thrown out.
Servais Scott was ejected.

After Servais and Murphy left the game, Cal Raleigh entered in place of Murphy and was given a 1-2 count at the plate as play continued.
Even though he ended up scoring a double, the Mariners failed to score.
Ultimately, the Yankees defeated Seattle 10-2 on the road, and since visiting, they have scored 20 runs. In the last three games, they have actually scored thirty runs.

For the series finale on Wednesday night, Murphy and Servais will be back in the Mariners dugout, as there were no suspensions resulting from the two ejections.
