Sad report:Andrew Jay Hinch sheld tears as the Detroit tigers introduced a new coach to the team.
The Detroit Tigers considered switching things up.
A limited group of hopefuls was interviewed by manager AJ Hinch. After Kimera Bartee was brought up from the minor leagues to fill in as temporary first base coach for the majority of the 2021 season, he was searching for a permanent first base coach.
Following those interviews, Hinch concluded that Bartee had to remain. The captain is pleased with the culture his team is creating, and in 2021 the process was expedited by the coaches’ camaraderie. The Tigers exceeded expectations going into the season and placed third in the American League Central with a record of 77-85.
