The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed all of the sacked players. The Dallas Cowboys have signed a tiny number of free agents back for the 2024 season, but contract information for those signees is finally available. In the first days of free agency, Dallas re-signed long snapper Trent Sieg as well as cornerbacks Jourdan Lewis and CJ Goodwin. They all received new one-year contracts.

Last summer, Dallas signed Sieg to steady the special teams unit while using a rookie placekicker. It worked out quite well, with the veteran playing in all 18 games. Brandon Aubrey, a rookie kicker, went 37-for-39 on field goals and 50-for-53 on extra-point attempts this season, including the playoffs versus Green Bay.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Sieg has signed a one-year veteran wage and benefits contract for 2024. It’s worth $1.125 million, including a $985,000 guarantee and a $167,500 signing bonus. His contract will contribute $1.152 million toward the 2024 salary cap.

CJ Goodwin, like Sieg, has signed a one-year veteran wage and benefits pact. In addition, he received a signing bonus of $167,500 on a $1.2 million contract. Goodwin appeared in five games for the 2023 season, recording four tackles before hurting his pectoral muscle on October 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. He led the squad in special teams tackles in 2020 and 2021 before posting an eight-tackle season in 2022.

Unlike his two colleagues, Jourdan Lewis did not sign a veteran wage and benefits package. He signed a one-year agreement worth $2.8275 million. His base salary for 2024 is $2.66 million, plus a $167,500 incentive. He counts $1.377 million against the cap.

On Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys made their first free-agent signing, luring linebacker Eric Kendricks away from the 49ers at the last minute. Kendricks joins the Cowboys after a one-year run with the Los Angeles Chargers.

He was a second-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 out of UCLA, and he had an impact in every season before signing with the Chargers in free agency last year. In 2023, he made 117 tackles in 15 games, with 3.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.

Kendricks started all but three of his games for Minnesota. The linebacker has been an impact player since he was a rookie. In 17 games in 2022, Kendricks had 137 tackles and eight tackles for loss.

Dallas still has a long list of free agents to consider re-signing, as well as some players seeking contract extensions. The Cowboys’ unsigned free agents are Tyron Smith, Stephon Gilmore, Jayron Kearse, Johnathan Hankins, Chuma Edoga, Noah Igbinoghene, and Rico Dowdle.
